Advantages
Design Flanders is always looking for new design talent. These designers can be active in various applied disciplines, such as accessories, glass, graphic design, industrial design, jewellery, ceramics, furniture and interior objects, multimedia and textiles.
We select innovative and creative designers during the Spring and Autumn Selections. These selections occur based on submitted dossiers. The dossiers are always assessed by a changing jury, consisting of experts from all of the abovementioned sectors. If the jury considers the dossier to be of high quality, the designer is then added to the Design Flanders database.
There are a number of benefits attached to the recognition by Design Flanders:
• We introduce the creations of newly recognised designers to the general public annually in the Nieuwe Oogst (New Harvest) exhibition.
• Subsidies for exhibitions, trade fairs and promotional activities
• Mentioned in the Kwintessens magazine
• Economic advice in collaboration with the Enterprises Agency
• Participation in exhibitions and trade fairs
• Weekly update via the Ossenbloedrood e-zine
• Member of the Belgian Design Forum
