The Belgian Design Forum consists of 500 recognised high-quality designers in Flanders and 200 companies that integrate design into their strategy.
With the Belgian Design Forum, Design Flanders wishes to further expand networking between the talent in the design and the business world in Flanders as well as contribute to strengthening the creative dynamics in our economy.
This new strategy hopes to lift the Flemish companies to a higher level of quality by providing them with a strong programme round design and design management. Design is not only a product, but it also a process which must be approached professionally by the companies. Integrating design management into the business strategy right up to top management level also appears to yield better business results.
Design Flanders, the only body of the Flemish Government in this area, guides, as a unit within the Enterprise Agency, companies in their search for a suitable designer. It promotes design in Belgium and abroad, but mainly in the Flemish business world.
